On Stage Local Event Photos & Displays

Hello stampers!

I was lucky enough to attend my first Stampin Up! On Stage experience last month. I decided to get a picture with some of the fun props they brought for the photo booth.

They gave us a little gift to celebrate 15 years of Stampin' Up! in Canada. Doesn't that cupcake look oooooohhhh... sooooooooo, yummy?! It was. They even had some gluten free options, and you'd never guess that they were (at least I couldn't).

They had samples of all the new In-colours available from 2017-19. My favourites are Tranquil Tide and Lemon Lime Twist - they go so lovely together. But all are lovely. It is always nice to have new colours to mix in with the old ones for a fresh look. Fresh Fig is most similar to Blackberry Bliss (now retired), Berry Burst is similar to Rose Red, Powder Pink is close to Blushing Bride, Lemon Lime Twist is quite different from any current colour - but has the bright pop of colour that Green Galore has (retired). My fav Tranquil Tide is similar to Emerald Envy with an infusion of Island Indigo. That's just my opinion, but they are great additions to Stampin' Up!s colour family.

At the end of the event they decided to give every attendee a stamp set... not just any set, one with adorable little piggies. I LOVE PIGS. I always have. Could be the reason why I do not eat pork products? I've seen quite a few samples floating around in cyber land. I haven't had the opportunity to "play" too much yet, but hopefully soon I can pencil some time in.

This is the soon to be new catalogue coming June 1, 2017. Do you see those pretty floral images on the cards? I won that set from Prize Patrol. I can't wait to sit down and play with it.

I took a ton of photos of the displays and card samples... so many beautiful samples that were drool worthy for sure.

One set that I was immediately drawn to was the Climbing Orchid bundle. I love to make crafts with the seniors I work with - and they will love making some paper orchids. I can't wait to try these out.

I am super excited to try the new embossing paste and pattern party decorative masks
I love the designs, especially the clouds.

You can see the dimension better in the photo below that is achieved with the embossing paste.

There are a bunch of new embossing folders, I am most looking forward to trying out the Ruffled design. It looks so realistic like the paper is made of fabric. Can't wait to try it.

You will see some of the lovely new designer series papers below, my top pick is the
Wood Textures  - they are so lifelike.

LOVE. Enough said.

I posed with the completed box sample that they had on display - look how super cute this crate is!! We made one with the Wood Textures DSP and made 3 mini cards with envelopes to put inside. It looks small, but it can hold quite a lot.

The Birthday Delivery Bundle was one of the first sets I was drawn to. I absolutely love the vintage feel to this set and with matching dies it makes your life so much easier than fussy cutting the images out. An added bonus is the framelits also cut out the images in the Birthday Memories DSP

I really like the new in colours, Tranquil Tide is my favourite. The 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon is lovely and top quality. Definitely a top pick for ribbons.

Some cute felt mini bows, also in the new colours.

Eastern Beauty Stamp Set and Eastern Medallions dies are so fun to play with. The possibilities with this bundle are endless. The dies are amazingly designed and can add that extra special something to your projects. They also have some tassels in the suite and Specialty Designer Series Paper.

Isn't the paper gorgeous? I love it, the colours are right up my alley.

There was a bunch of projects on display. These cards by current Artisan Design Team member Cathy Caines were among my favourites. I was sold on this set, a great addition to any stampers collection. With the coordinating dies for even more stunning projects.

I love everything about this set. I think the sentiments are my favourite thing about it. The script font is beautiful and I love the two step stamping images.

One last pic of me at On Stage. This was the first time that I got to do something just for me since finding out about my fathers illness. He has been my top priority the past several months dealing with many appointments and treatments. He now lives with us and I am happy to spend much more time with him. I will do my very best to post more often, thank you for visiting me.
