Love Blossoms with Suite Sayings

So, I know my card share today is quite girly... which is totally not like me! I wanted to try out the papers from the {Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack}. Now, this stack has a lot of pink - not my favourite colour, but I'm embracing it! See what I came up with... 

The patterns are gorgeous and you don't have to use the pink side, there are several neutral design options also. But, I figured I may as well just get over my phobia and dive right in! I'm not sure why I have such an aversion to the colour, maybe because my mom always made me wear it? All pastels as a matter of fact, it's no wonder I love dark colours now... I went to the dark side so speak! LOL. 

I got my sentiment from {Suite Sayings}, this was one of the first sets I ordered. So many great sayings and for a lot of different occasions for the entire year. You can't go wrong! I went with you wonderful thing you so I could use it for a variety of occasions. So to start my card I used a base of Rose Red (my favourite of the pink colours), not as overpowering and the darkest shade! ;)

I added two different pieces of the designer series paper, one in Rose Red and the other in Blushing Bride. They have the same pattern, only the opposite. The flowers on the rose paper are Rose Red with a white background, and the Blushing Bride paper are white with a pink background. I like the look so I went with it. If I'm going pink I may as well go all the way! The sentiment fit perfectly in my {2-1/2" Circle Punch}, I added some lacy bits with a {Paper Lace Doily} and some sponged Rose Red ink on the edges. The little buttons are from {I love you sew}, I'm so getting a lot of miles out of that set! They fit perfectly with the {1/2" Circle Punch}, add some dimensionals and {It's my Party Enamel Dots} - I found a way to use up those pink one's. I am happy to say that I do like how this card turned out, girly or not, pink or not! I hope you like it, have a great day!
