I had fun playing last week with the Butterfly Basics stamp set and my Metallic Encore Inks. I decided to use my gold ink and stamp a piece of Night of Navy cardstock - before it dried I added some Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder and heat set my background. I used the Sale-a-bration set, Best Day Ever to make the dotted background.
I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment with Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto a piece of Gold Foil Paper, not knowing if it would dry too quickly to add the Clear emboss - but worked. After it was heat set, it actually makes the black ink much more subtle.
I decided to add a bunch of the Bitty Butterfly images in a semi-circular pattern like they are flying right off the card. I also applied the same clear emboss powder to the butterflies as I did for the dots.
As if it wasn't golden and glimmer enough, I added some sequins from the Gold Sequin Trim and adhered them with Mini Glue Dots. I like the navy blue and gold together, very rich! I hope you like it, and have a super day :)
