You + Me: Swaps in the Making

Hi there... yesterday I shared my swap cards that I made. Today, I've got the cards that I was trying out before deciding on exactly which one to make. If you've ever made a swap card before, you'll understand what I mean. Granted, these cards are not very different, but some of the elements changed. I still love each of these cards and I thought you might like to see them too!

I love the angled cuts and really wanted to try to use the new 'Stacked with Love' washi tape. I love black and white together - and paired with the bright bold colours of Bermuda Bay and Real Red is even better! These two cards look very similar, the differences being the first cards paper strips are cut at graduated increments from 1/2" to 1" widths, on the second the strips are cut even at 1/2" wide. On the first one the sentiment is recessed - the whole card is popped up on dimensionals and the sentiment is attached directly to the card base. On the second one the sentiment is adhered off center from the 2-1/4" Basic Black circle.

The third card was actually the first one I attempted. I really liked the look of the designer series paper one one side and the real red on the other. That's kind of where I went with the final swap idea that I shared yesterday.

 

 

This one is also close to the one I chose to swap, except I added more layers to the final one. Instead of colouring the entire sentiment in with Blendabilities, I only did the me and outlined the letters with the fine tipped Journaling Pen from Project Life. I basically took elements from each of these cards to get my final swap card! I hope you like my cards today, and have a super day!
