Many Layered "Stacked with Love" thanks

Holy bananas... it's a COLD one out there today! I'm dreading having to go outside to go to work. Today would be the perfect day to have off to spend in my pj's and craft....... ah, to dream.

 

Have you checked out the AWESOME new Occasions Catalogue yet??? So many fun stamp sets, papers, and accessories... to much stuff, but not much time to play for me lately. I finally had a chance to play with some newbies the other day... not as much as I would have liked, but I got a few cards done nonetheless! For my card share today, I started with a couple scraps from diecuts... then started to play... check it out!

 

 

I had a diecut from one of the Hearts Collection Framelits and since I rarely throw away my scraps because often they can be re-purposed in other ways for another project... so that's exactly what I did. I did the same for the "thanks", from the Hello You Thinlits Dies. I used some of the oh-so-yummy 'stacked with love' designer series paper - LOVE. LOVE this paper! I Love black and white and the reds and corals on the reverse. So pretty :)

 

 

I liked the xoxoxoxoxo pattern for under the stencil made from the "hello you" dies, since it was black and white and I think it goes good for a thanks, since "xo's" means kisses and hugs! I cut around the thanks on an angle and matted it onto a piece of Calypso Coral and Red Red cardstock. I added another piece of DSP from stacked with love, a fun polka dotted background for the stencil black heart.

 



 

This card really has a lot going on, and I like that! All the layers, patterns. I had to add some Gold Glimmer Paper, it's strange since I've always been a silver sort of girl... lately, I've really been embracing the gold. Stampin' Up!s Glimmer papers are so sparkly it would add a nice "pop" to any project! I used the hearts border punch for the hearts at the top, then used the punched hearts at the bottom... lots of reusing of stuff going on here! I love taking my photos in my garden, what a nice pop of colour this card brings to all that yucky "white stuff" on the ground!!
