I have a fun share today featuring the new and oh-so adorable 'From the Herd' stamp set. I knew that I had to have this stamp set as soon as I saw that cute little piggy. I love pigs, I've been collecting antique pigs for many, many years. I have always had a soft spot for those cuties. One of my stamping friends, Colleen had a birthday on Christmas - that's who I made this card for. I wanted it to be a birthday card, but a bit of Christmas added too... can you see what I added? The little goat is wearing a Santa hat!
I coloured these cuties with a bunch of Blendabilites Markers. Pink Pirhouette for the piggy, Smoky Slate for the Llama and Cow (hair), Daffodil Delight for the chicken with the funky hair, Coastal Cabana for the little birdie and Crumb Cake for the goat and cow. I used Wild Wasabi for the grass.
This stamp set has some great sentiments to go with the cute animals - like just looking in on you... from the herd... party animals and the one I chose, it's pasture birthday...well, because I gave her gift late... oops, I'm bad. I actually bought it in the summertime - but have been working far too much. Excuses, excuses I know... better late than never, right?!
Back to my card, I stamped and fussy cut out some birthday party hats, and a balloon to add and some googly eyes for a bit more fun!
I made another, more simpler card at the same time. I decided to just colour the piggy so he popped right off the page - he's just looking in on you.... so cute!!
I hope you like my cards and have a great day :)
