So, today I have a sneak peek for you of one of the NEW sets available for purchase starting on January 6th!! It's called 'Sheltering Tree'. Let me say how pretty this set is - it's one of the best sets that I've seen for a while and it would work for so many occasions, plus feminine and masculine cards! When I designed this card I wanted to avoid all the "white stuff" that's been falling outside by creating a spring themed card. I love the spring, I wish it was here instead of winter... but it can be spring in my craft room!
I started by stamping two trees using Early Espresso ink. I then made my grass hills with Pear Pizzazz, Wild Wasabi and Old Olive inks, then added some pretty blossoms with Calypso Coral, Crisp Cantaloupe and some hints of green with Pear Pizzazz peeking through. I added a swing to one of my trees and a sentiment thinking of you to the bottom and finished by adding some Dazzling Details glitter to my hilly grass and blossoms!
Can you believe there are no layers? No dimensionals?
Isn't it pretty?!? I love how it turned out, I hope you like it too!

This is gorgeous Beckie! I can't wait to get a chance to play with my set. I love what you've done with it. Tfs. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you very much Sarah! It is fun to play with this set, so many possibilities.
DeleteThis is just beautiful! Did you make the grass with the Work of Art stamp or did you use a dauber? This is definitely on my CASE list!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jennifer. It's a beautiful stamp set! The only stamps I used are from the 'Sheltering Tree' set for my card.
DeleteLove it! Nice color combos.
ReplyDeleteThanks very much Cherry!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a pretty card. One of the best I have seen using this stamp set. Thanks for explaining how you made it.
ReplyDeleteThank you Therese for your sweet comment! I had fun making it, it's such a pretty stamp set - you really can't go wrong.
DeleteBeautiful card! Did you sponge the background in soft sky before or after you stamped the trees?
ReplyDeleteThank you very much, the stamp set makes it easy to make beautiful cards. I sponged the colour afterwards, Soft Sky is such a pale blue it doesn't affect the colour of the petals on the trees. Sponging before or after probably won't matter.
DeleteThiss is a great post thanks
