A Life in the Forest 'gee, thanks'

Hello...... it's Friday! Man, was I exhausted the last couple of days - I slept so good last night! I've been having some issues with some of my medications, but I thankfully don't have to take them right now - phew!!

 

Onto some Stampin' news...... Can you believe it's August already?! This year is more than half over - time is just flying by! I'm super excited for today - it is the first day that demonstrators can order from the new Holiday catalogue! As a demonstrator, I can order before the catalogue goes live on August 28, 2014... not too much longer! Once I get my new goodies, I can share projects made with them. There are so many great products in this year's catalogue - not that there isn't every year!! But there some products I just have to have right away - some fun Christmas sets and Halloween one's too, I've really gotta start on my invites as Halloween will be here before I know it!I have an idea of what I want to do, I just need my new stamps!!!!!! Can't wait for Mr. UPS man to deliver me my new toys! Can you believe some stores have Halloween decor already?!!! It always surprises me, even though they do it every year!

 

Well, I've got a fun card that I made last week featuring the oh-so-adorable Life in the Forest stamp set. These little critters are just so cute!! I really like the outlined images, with just black ink - no colouring! With just Basic Black and Whisper White cardstock. I cut strips of Whisper White, and stamped the fox, racoon, hedgehog, and rabbit stamps. The strips are different widths from 1/2" to 1-1/4". I layered each strip onto a piece of Basic Black, and cut a 1/8" border. I left a slight gap between each strip to have some of the white card base peek through. I finished with a sentiment from the Just Sayin' stamp set - gee, thanks and cut it out with the Word Bubble Framelits. I popped it up with a dimensional and ta-da!! my card is finished. It didn't take much time at all to create - I hope you like it and have a wonderful weekend!
