Going, Going, Gone: My Retirement Favourites - Fab Florals

Well, I don't know about you but I'm a huge fan of floral stamps?! Maybe it's because I'm a huge fan of gardening?!!! I honestly find it so much easier to make pretty and feminine cards than masculine ones! Don't get me wrong, I can still make and do enjoy making masculine cards - it just comes more natural for me to make pretty cards. It's actually quite ironic as I'm not really an ultra-feminine person. I like my jeans and t-shirts and am quite low maintenance - but hey I love a pretty card!! I have 3 cards today to share that I think are ultra-feminine, all featuring retiring products...take a look...

For my first card I used the 'Fabulous Florets' stamp set, which is my favourite retiring stamp set! I used retiring colours Primrose Petals and Gumball Green to make my base and layers. For this card I used the Bubble technique. I put a bit of bubbles into a styrofoam cup and added some re-inker to it (I used Raspberry Ripple) and using a straw just start to blow and once the bubbles come out of the cup let your paper touch the bubbles and you get a lovely background on your paper. I then used a heat gun to dry my paper quickly, you could wait too. I stamped 2 of the larger flowers, and 3 of the smaller flowers. I then cut them out. I used the large stem and randomly stamped the image, some are stamped off so they are not as dark of an ink! I then added with a dimensional my flowers, add a greeting and ta-da - a pretty floral card! You could also use many different colours of inks to get a variety of bloom colours!!

For my second card I used the 'Secret Garden' stamp set and the 'Fabulous Florets' stamp set. I stamped randomly as though I was making my own designer series paper. Some images are stamped off to appear lighter than others, I added a few 'Rhinestone Basic Jewels' for a bit of sparkle!

My last card is a 3-D card, which features a fun flower pot with removable flowers, which will hold a giftcard, and greeting! It measures 9" X 3-1/2", scored at 3-1/2" and 7".

I used the 'Blossom Party Originals' bigz to cut all my flowers using Wisteria Wonder, Perfect Plum and Elegant Eggplant and the 'Little Leaves sizzlit' to cut the leaf stems! This card features many retiring goodies besides the Blossom party and Little leaves, it features the 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, the Scallop Trim Border Punch,  Core'dinations Cardstock and Bring on the Cake stamp set! So many great products, some are already sold out, but some are still available!

The insert for this card measures 2-1/4" X 4-1/4", I added a mat layer too - just measure 1/8" larger for a mat. Such a fun card, which I've also added some magnets to the back so the card recipient can display on their fridge for years to come...
