All I want for Christmas is ... a starburst card?!

Hey! I'm really loving these starburst cards. This time I carried the effect over the whole card and not just half. The greeting is from 'Christmas Messages' stamp set - I love the greetings in this set.... this one in particular! I am going to make one for my hubby with this cute saying. To finish decorating, I used the 1 3/4" Scallop circle to punch out the greeting and added some 1/8" Silver Ribbon at the bottom of the greeting for a punch of shine! With Christmas just around the corner (a little more than a month.. eekkk!!) this type of card is a great way to use up your scraps of designer series paper!

 

Here are a couple of more types of starburst cards you could try...

 

The first card I call - The Season of Style Starburst . It was made with the Season of Style Designer Series Paper Stack, and the stamp is from the Tags 4 You bundle. It's finished off with some Baker's Twine and a Rhinestone Basic Jewel. To make you just cut strips of DSP measuring 4" X 1 1/4", cut diagonally from corner to corner. Since the paper that I used is double-sided, I 5 pieces (3 of one paper, and 2 of another). I started with the center and worked my way around... I try it first, then glue! The excess is then trimmed off and attached to a mat layer. The center points are then covered with the 2 1/2" circle punch so you don't see it anyways!!

 

The second I call - Grunged Out Starburst. It features the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set (I used the largest image) and the cute Santa is from Santa's List . I added some Island Indigo Baker's Twine and a Very Vintage Button. Cardstock and ink colours: Very Vanilla, Tempting Turquoise and Island Indigo. To make the starburst, you cut a 4X4" square for your template. You draw your focal point (in my case, the 2 1/2" circle). Then draw your lines around the circle - then cut out and stamp over onto your card or project. Your template can be changed depending on the project you are working on.
